Saved People Go to Heaven

Once we know who we are, we can know what to do.

Romans 3 gives us an honest diagnosis: everyone has sinned. Jews and Gentiles, religious and irreligious, rule-followers and rebels, pastors and people, all of us stand on level ground before God.

That truth confronts pride, but it also opens the door to grace.

Better people do not go to heaven. Saved people go to heaven.

We Are All Sinners

Romans says all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory.

That means no one gets to stand above anyone else. We may compare ourselves to people around us, but comparison cannot make us righteous. We may point out someone else’s failure, but their failure cannot erase ours.

Sin is not only out there. It is in us.

When we forget that, we start bragging about what we have done, criticizing other people to feel less exposed, and hiding our failures because we do not want to admit we are wrong.

The gospel begins by telling the truth.

We All Need To Believe

The good news is that God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ.

That means salvation is not a reward for religious performance. It is a gift received by faith.

We do not need to pretend we are better. We need to believe.

When we believe in Jesus, we stop trying to hide and start receiving grace. We stop using other people’s sin as a distraction from our own. We stop building an identity on being better than someone else and start building our lives on Christ.

Grace Removes The Lid

Grace does not excuse sin. Grace frees us from pretending.

If everyone has sinned, then everyone needs mercy. If everyone needs mercy, then no one has to perform their way into God’s love. We come to Jesus honestly, humbly, and gratefully.

That is where real freedom begins.

You are not saved because you are impressive. You are saved because Jesus is enough.

What Is Next?

After Easter, the question becomes, "What now?"

Now we believe. Now we receive grace. Now we stop hiding. Now we walk in the identity Jesus gives us. Now we help other people find the same hope.

The gospel does not leave us in shame. It brings us into salvation.

Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and need Your grace. Thank You that salvation is not earned but received by faith. Help me stop hiding, believe fully, and live as someone saved by Your mercy. Amen.
