Volunteer Job Description: The role of Graphics Team Member is to assist in the creation of engaging and compelling visual content that is communicated through print media, social media, and more.

Responsibilities: • Detailed awareness of all upcoming events and special events on the master calendar.
• Communication with the pastoral staff, social media team, and communications team to create engaging content that captures attention and moves people forward.
• Maintain excellence in all print and graphics through the use of Avenue Brand Guide to maintain a visually elevated and consistent experience.
• Design video content such as sermon bumpers, video testimonials, and special projects.

Skills Required • Communication Skills: able to successfully interpret what is being asked of them as well as effectively communicate with others.
• Teamwork Skills: actively and consistently displays responsibility, reliability, honestly, active listening, empathy, collaboration, and awareness.
• Learning & Adaptability Skills: able to learn new things and adapt to new situations within the workplace.
• Organizational Skills: competent in the areas of planning, critical thinking, attention to detail and conflict management.
• Creative Skills: Ability to create, design, or capture content by use of Adobe Creative Suite or the ability to clearly communicate creative needs to the graphics, capture, or video production teams.

Communications Assistant

Volunteer Job Description or Purpose of Volunteer Position:
The role of the Communications Assistant provides essential support to the pastoral staff, team leaders, and members of Avenue Church by ensuring clear communication both internally and externally through digital and printed methods such as Slack, Social Media, Email Blasts, Text Blasts, Touch Cards, Signage and more. Through clear communication, organization, and preparation, the Communications Assistant provides ample support to the pastoral staff and Avenue Church.

Reports to: Pastoral Staff
Responsibilities: • Detailed awareness of all upcoming events and special events on the master calendar.
• Communication with pastoral staff to clearly define verbiage and level of priority for any and all events, signups, registrations, and communications to the church body.
• Drafting engaging and clear communications to our Church body through Email, Text, Registrations Pages, Facebook Events, and Print Media that move people to their clearly defined next steps.
• Assist social media and the creative team by providing direction, priority, and assignments for connect creation needed to communicate to the church body through social, web, print, or email.

Time Commitment: 5-6 Hours Per Week

Volunteer Job Description or Purpose of Volunteer Position:
The role of the Social Media Team Member is to point people to Jesus by use of Avenue Churches' Social Media Platform.

Department: Communications

Location: Avenue HQ & Opportunity Village

Reports to: Pastoral Staff

Responsibilities:
• Detailed awareness of all upcoming events and special events on the master calendar.
• Communication with pastoral staff to clearly define verbiage and priority level for any and all events, signups, registrations, and communications to the church body.
• Capturing and posting of Social Media content and captions to the @AvenueChurch.cc social media platform on Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube.
• Researching and planning engaging content that adds value and points people to Jesus primarily. Secondarily, effectively uses social media to communicate event details.
• Develop and utilize a social media calendar to best plan and prioritize communication needs through social.
• Research and utilize analytics across platforms to post at the best time according to each platform.
• Maintain excellence in all posts and graphics through the use of Avenue Brand Guide to maintain a visually elevated and consistent experience.
