Jeremy and Lindsey Bosma are the pastors of Avenue Church in Las Vegas, Nevada, which they founded in February of 2017.
They are passionate about helping people in their community experience the love and presence of God, and believe in leaving a positive legacy for future generations. In addition to their pastoral work, they are also committed to building God's Kingdom through creative communication, leadership development, and strategic vision.
Jeremy and Lindsey have been married for 16 years and have been in ministry for 20 years. They have two boys, Levi and Derek, and a sweet dog named Chloe.
God began impressing upon the hearts of Pastors Jeremy and Lindsey Bosma to lead a life-giving church in the city of Las Vegas. The couple began dreaming of planting a church that would make a way for people to know Jesus and experience new life.
Jeremy and Lindsey knew they could not take on this endeavor alone. They wholeheartedly believed that life and ministry were to be done with others. In 2016, Avenue Church began its launch process in partnership with ARC.
Avenue’s first Interest Social was held on June 26, 2016 with 34 people in attendance. Vision was casted and momentum was built. Plans for the future were discussed and the opportunity to join the Avenue team was given. That day, 20 individuals joined what Jeremy and Lindsey would call the A-Team. Interest Socials and outreaches continued for the next several months and by November of 2016, 85 people had committed to see Avenue Church become a reality.
On February 12, 2017 Avenue Church launched its first service at the Opportunity Village Englestad Campus with 389 people in attendance. That day, 37 people accepted Jesus into their hearts!
Avenue Church exists to make a way for people to know Jesus and experience new life! We are a life-giving, multicultural, multigenerational church that will creatively and effectively reach people for Jesus Christ.
We consider reaching people who do not know God personally one of our greatest responsibilities. Our Sunday worship experiences are for people at all stages in their spiritual journey but are primarily geared toward those who do not have a genuine relationship with God.
We believe real life change happens in the context of authentic relationships, which is why we are a church made up of small groups. In the Bible, they worshiped in the temple, but personal ministry happened “house to house.”
Connect One Day helps you to discover your unique God-given purpose. Growth Track offers information and experiences designed to help you discover and develop your redemptive purpose and live the full life God wants for you. Our process consists of four steps, guiding you to follow Jesus, connect to the church, discover your purpose, and serve others.
Make An Eternal Difference
All of us were created by God to make a difference in another person's life. God has a place for you where your unique abilities and passions can impact the lives of others. We believe your life will only make sense once you find, develop and fulfill that purpose.
We firmly believe in the absolute truth of the Word of God, acknowledging Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life, as stated in John 14:6. We hold the conviction that the Gospel is life-giving, and as a reflection of this belief, we strive to be a life-giving force within our community. Our deep love for Jesus fuels our love for people, guiding all that we do.
We foster an environment where you can find a sense of belonging even before you believe, creating a welcoming space for all. We intentionally make room for the Holy Spirit, trusting in His power to create life-changing transformations. We firmly believe that our mission is not about behavior modification, but rather about facilitating heart transformations, leading to genuine and lasting change.
Disarm The Power Of Shame
We understand that the more we openly discuss shame, the less power it holds over our lives. We stand firm in the belief that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, embracing the freedom and grace He offers. We acknowledge that ministry can be messy, and we're not only okay with that, we're prepared for it. We're committed to navigating the complexities of life and faith together, in community
Build People & Develop Leaders
We are committed to equipping and empowering both men and women for ministry and leadership, recognizing the unique gifts and perspectives each brings. We believe in creating clear pathways for leadership and spiritual development that cater to all ages and stages of life, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to grow and contribute in meaningful ways
We Are Joyful Contributors
We carry an attitude of gratitude and privilege, exclaiming, 'We get to do this!' We cheerfully invest in an eternal harvest, confident that the outcomes will exceed our expectations. It is our joy to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus, extending His love and grace to all we encounter
We Resource Life Change
We shoulder the responsibility to actively seek, heal, equip, send, and multiply. With intentionality, we pave avenues leading to hope, healing, and purpose.
